What Hayes Valley is Known For 

The main commercial corridor in Hayes Valley is Hayes Street lined with small boutique shops and cafes. There are also several top rated restaurants on the corners of Hayes and Franklin at the eastern end of the neighborhood where people dine before attending shows at The Symphony, the Opera, and nearby theaters.
 

Restaurants, Cafes, Bars and Grocery Stores

The most popular restaurants in Hayes Valley are Absinthe (French), Suppenküche (German) and Domo (Japanese). But walk down the vibrant sidewalks of Hayes Street for a close look of the new and established restaurants in the neighborhood. Great coffee includes the Original Blue Bottle stand, Ritual and La Boulangerie. The neighborhood grocery store is Nabila’s, but a short drive away is Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Rainbow Market. Bars in the immediate area are Anina, Afterwork and Linden Room.
 

Nearby Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods

Patricia Green is the public square in the center of Hayes Valley known for its CrossFit workshops and public art installations. There is also a playground in Patricia Green. Alamo Square is just a 10 minute away and has a playground and off leash dog park.
